Ellen Couvillion

   I am a Senior Lecturer of mathematics at Texas State University where I have been teaching since 2017 after earning my BS and MS in mathematics from Texas State University. I currently use WebAssign with an eBook in my Calculus I courses and have also used WebAssign in conjunction with OERs in my College Algebra course.
   
   I love showing other professors how they can get the most out of WebAssign while keeping it simple and applicable for their students. Having just the right amount of resources and practice problems keeps students engaged while not overwhelming them. In my courses, I stress a growth mindset approach to honing mathematical skill and I am never afraid of remediating when necessary. Without a firm foundation, a building will never be structurally sound.
