Monica Hampton
I am a retired Cybersecurity officer and currently an Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity and Criminal Justice at Benedict College. I have a B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and an M.A. in Computer Resources and Information Management from Webster University.
Before teaching at the collegiate level, I taught firearms & safety and cybersecurity to law enforcement officers nationally and at the local levels. Since retirement, I have been teaching undergraduate cybersecurity and criminal justice courses. To better understand the teaching field, I began taking QM courses to become more proficient in instructional design and the application of rubrics. As a result, I became interested in instructional design and have continued on that path obtaining the Quality Matters (QM) certification for Applying the QM Rubric and Designing Your Online Course
I use MindTap and Cognero for all my courses as it provides a variety of content that actively engages students through the learning process. More importantly, MindTap and Cognero have streamlined my design process while seamlessly integrating the content into Canvas.
