Cengage Unlimited for Institutions Helps Provost Define Direction of Curriculum

As a leader at Carrington College, Ravinder Dayal is dedicated to driving student success by providing high-quality content that fosters growth and development. This includes developing relationships with key industry partners such as Cengage Unlimited for Institutions (CUI).

“My role regarding CUI is to leverage the strategic partnership in a way that effectively aligns with and supports our key business initiatives. This involved launching the program across all campuses to provide students with access to important resources, such as the CUI online textbooks and career service platforms,” she stated. “Then by working with the CUI instructional design team, we have been able to define the direction of the curriculum that will enhance the quality of education for all our students and improve their chances to achieve professional success.”

To Dayal, CUI is one of many examples of Carrington College embracing innovative learning strategies in the learning space. “The goal is to develop these types of relationships that align with our institutional objectives. With CUI, we can continue providing a quality education online while reducing the financial burden for students. CUI is yet another way our faculty can continue to help students and support their success.”

While Cengage Unlimited for Institutions gives students access to eTextbooks, online homework platforms, study guides, Career Success Tools and more, the partnership has also played a unique role in supporting Carrington College’s overall strategic goals. “CUI has provided Carrington College with scalable academic services that help our administrators make the transition to blended or online learning, as well as new professional development resources to help faculty teach online. This has been instrumental in supporting our students given the COVID-19 pandemic and the industry-wide shift from campus-based learning to a more remote approach. With Cengage, we were able to deliver a seamless transition to the new environment in a way that would minimize any disruptions to our students’ education. This has been the most important aspect of expanding our partnership and a significant factor in our decision to re-sign.”

CUI is more than an online platform for eTextbooks, it also serves as a collection of student and career success resources.

“One lesson we have learned is that there is value to our partnership with CUI beyond providing access to eTextbooks and online platforms. Our students also benefit from student success tools and career service support – from online workshops to resume-building instruction. This is something that our Career Service Advisors have leveraged as part of their role within the institution. This end-to-end support has become particularly helpful for our career-focused programs that prepare students for success immediately upon graduation.”
